Domingo received news on Sunday morning that his mother had been placed on life support, and promptly left the Proteas on day four of the first Test against England at Lord’s in London.
Domingo, however, did not make it back in time to be with his mother in her final moments as he landed in South Africa on Monday morning to the news that he was too late.
Our deepest condolences go out to Russell Domingo and his family following the untimely passing of his mother late last night. #RIP
