Jamie Vardy set to stay at Leicester City.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes the Gunners have failed in their chase for Jamie Vardy.

The Leicester hotshot scored 24 goals as the Foxes won the Premier League title for the first time as 5000-1 outsiders last |season.

The 29-year-old’s form tempted the Gunners to trigger the £20m release clause in his contract |earlier this month.

But with Wenger hoping to have the deal wrapped up before Vardy went to Euro 2016 with England, it seems the Frenchman has given up on the transfer.

He tells a Chinese TV channel: “Jamie Vardy is at the moment at Leicester and from what I know he will stay at Leicester.”
