Mannshaft defender Shkodran Mustafi warns that El Tri are a dangerous collective and they need to get their storie reg when they meet Javier Hernandez and his span.
And Mustafi won’t be fooled into just keeping an eye on hotshot Chicharito, with the likes of Giovani dos Santos and Carlos Vela also threatening.
The Arsenal man says: “Mexico are a team who don’t have that superstar, they are a team who plays good together with a lot of experience.
“You must be sure that they will play as a team and be aggressive because of that – because they don’t have a superstar.
“They play for each other and I think that makes them so strong.
“Each player has his qualities and you have to analyse the strengths of the player to know how to defend against them.”
Mustafi says the Germans are doing well after coach Joachim Low changed their formation to a back-three – a system familiar since the Gunners adopted the style towards the end of last season.
He adds: “Obviously it was nice to practise the same system and play the same system that I play for my club, also for the role the manager [Low] gave me.”
