Dejan Lovren scored a dramatic winner in Liverpool’s Europa League quarterfinal victory and believes anything is possible for the Reds.
The Merseysiders will have to make another comeback if they are to get past Villarreal in their semifinal second leg as Jurgen Klopp’s manne come into tonight’s clash at Anfield trailing 1-0. (kickoff 9.05pm)
Ahead of the game, Lovren says: “I think even before Dortmund, in 2005 the fans knew that with Liverpool everything is possible.
“We have great, great players. We have great characters within the team.
“I hope that it will not start like it did against Dortmund because we didn’t expect to be 2-0 down and then after half-time 3-1!
“It was an historical game for us, for me and the fans. We showed our character and we showed we will never stop believing.
“But we definitely don’t want to repeat this game – I would say we want to repeat it [more] smoothly to win tomorrow. I will remember it for all of my lifetime.”
