The Proteas and West Indies are set for an explosive opening clash in their triangular ODI series tonight (7pm).
That’s the assessment from Windies boss Phil Simmons ahead of their meeting in Guyana.
In fact, Simmons expects things will be as exciting when they face Australia on Sunday and SA face off with the Aussies on Tuesday at the same ground.
The former Windies allrounder says: “Usually you get good wickets here, great outfield, good crowd so it could be a little bit of home advantage. But how we do determines which side the crowd gets on.
“Here you can get big scores, chase down big scores and that’s all it is. A good wicket is a wicket that everybody and can bat and bowl and get good scores…”
