Jamie Vardy’s move to Arsenal seems far from a done deal, with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger seemingly dissing the hitman.
The Leicester striker did not sign with the Gunners ahead of joining up with England’s Euro 2016 camp, despite reportedly having his medical on Sunday.
Vardy is said to be considering a Foxes counter offer to Arsenal’s four-year £120 000-a-week deal.
But his potential future boss Wenger didn’t try to flatter Vardy, who he is |willing to pay £20m for, when he was asked about the FWA Player of the Year’s impact at the Euros.
Wenger says: “I don’t think that he will be a starter.
“I don’t say this because he does not have the quality, but because he doesn’t |have enough experience at that level to say the whole tournament will depend on Vardy.”
Meanwhile, reports are swirling the new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is chasing Foxes hardman N’Golo Kante.
