That’s the word from Citizens winger Aubrey Ngoma ahead of their crucial clash against Free State Stars at Cape Town Stadium tonight (8pm).
City trail Wits and Mamelodi Sundowns in the title race after the two were in action last night, but have the chance to close the gap on another big weekend.
Champions Downs will face Orlando Pirates on Sunday in a match that City need the Brazilians to drop points in.
But Ngoma says City need to pitch up after a shock defeat at Maritzburg on Monday.
He says: “It was disappointing not to get the result. We didn’t pitch up.
“We are at home again and we need maximum points.
“Pirates can play a massive role in getting us back in the title race.
“We need the leaders to drop points, but it will mean nothing if we don’t win our games.
“Coach [Eric Tinkler] has told us to lift our head and keep believing.
“As long as we are still in with a mathematical chance we have to keep believing.
“We’ve seen our fans and it will be massive to win the PSL title for the city.
“Cape Town hasn’t had much to rejoice about and it would really be a boost for Cape football.
The place is hungry for success.
“And we won’t give up while we still have a chance.”
