Mamelodi Sundowns are not happy with just being PSL champions as they prepare for their Caf Confederations Cup playoff round second leg.
The newly-crowned kings of South Africa were desperate to conquer the continent, especially after their Champions League exit last month.
Downs face Ghana’s Medeama with a 3-1 advantage in the away leg tonight.
And midfield general Hlompo Kekana says: “Leading a team like Mamelodi Sundowns is a big challenge.
“But I have managed to carry that challenge and I am here today as a league champion because of that. We are capable of much more.
“We are at a stage where we are looking to go further than dominating South African football.”
Kekana has scored seven league goals and is hungry for more.
He says: “I have enjoyed scoring goals in the past but now because of the guys who are there for me, they encourage me to be in scoring positions.
“I do it for fun now because they love it when I score. The goals I score are always memorable. My position doesn’t allow me to score that many goals so whenever I do, they’re special. I’ll do whatever it takes and is necessary for my teammates to shine.”
