Proteas boss Russell Domingo has roped in former wicket-keeper Mark Boucher to help ahead of the three-match Test series against New Zealand.
The 147-Test veteran will put the squad through their paces in fielding drills and mentor Quinton de Kock behind the stumps before Friday’s opening day at Kingsmead.
Domingo says: “Mark is a guy that is highly respected.
“It will be good, particularly for a young Quinton de Kock, to spend some time with him working on his wicket-keeping, give a few fielding drills for us and to be around the team for a few days.
“It will also be good for him to work with some of our lower-order batsmen.
“He has the reputation of having that fighting spirit and epitomising what the Proteas stand for in terms of being tough and never giving up.”
