Snyman and former captain Kyle Brown are the only surviving members from the 2008/09 squad that won the World Series.
And when the 2016/17 season kicks off in Dubai today, Snyman says his charges will be going for gold again.
He says: “We’re tired of finishing second overall.
“Last season we came up short a couple of times and we want to change this season and hopefully put one or two wins behind us.”
The Blitzbokke have one of the more experienced squads in Dubai.
But experience means you’ve been around the block a bit and Snyman admits that this might be the last chance for a few of the older players in the squad to bag the series gold.
He concludes: “It’s a great ambition of winning the World Series.
“One or two of the older guys in the squad – it’s perhaps the only chance they still have, so we’re definitely going to give it our best shot.
“If we can stick to our structures and do everything well we definitely have a chance to win it.”
