Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero beter pasop for Chelsea’s David Luiz in tonight’s Premier League showdown at Stamford Bridge at 9pm.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte revealed yesterday that Luiz is still receiving treatment to his knee after a studs-up challenge from “Kun” in their first league fixture of the season back in December last year.
The tackle sparked a touchline rol that saw Aguero and City’s Fernandinho sent off after the latter pushed Cesc Fabregas over the advertising boards.
Conte, whose log leaders are looking to bounce back after suffering defeat to
Crystal Palace last weekend, says: “I think now his knee is better than before and for sure he needs to have the treatment.
“It’s not important [the game at City]. We must understand that when there is a game and above all if someone is losing the game, it can happen this type of situation…”
Of looking to bounce back against City, who are 11 points behind them on the log, Conte says: “It’s an important part of the season, but we have to continue in the same way, to work, to work very, very hard.
“You can lose a game, but I think we didn’t deserve to lose the game against Crystal Palace. Football is wonderful also for this type of result. [Today] we have another game.”
