Prolific Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has told his agent he wants to return to Chelsea instead of moving to Manchester United in the off-season.
The hitman scored 24 goals last season for the Toffees, despite his side missing out on a top four place in the Premier League and a spot in the Champions League.
To Lukaku it’s quite simple: no Europe, no more Romelu.
Everton, though, hou vas and want Lukaku’s suitors to break the bank for his signature with rumours of a £100m price-tag being put on the player.
Agreeing personal terms will be easier thanks to super agent Mino Raiola negotiating on behalf of Lukaku.
Trusting his agent, Lukaku is watching the hele storie with his feet up, saying: “I’m staying calm and we have an agreement with the club as well.
“I’m just going to rest for a few days and then just prepare for next season.
“I want to put the time in on my holiday to take everything to another level and be better than I was last year.
“We stay calm and at least we have a direction where we want to go.
“Staying at Everton is no longer an option for next season.
“We are now in talks with the club and I am looking forward. My agent knows what is going to happen and I know as well.”
