ANNOUNCED LAUNCH: Deputy Police Minister Maggie Sotyu.

The Western Cape will receive six mobile cop shops by the end of this financial year.

Deputy Police Minister Maggie Sotyu made the announcement on Friday at the launch of a mobile police station in Site C, Khayelitsha.

In addition, building of the Makhaza police station would begin in 2018 and take about three years.

More than 1 000 mense from Khayelitsha and surrounds attended Friday’s event, raising concerns about crime, reports Saturday Argus.

Mom of three Nosimanye Dyonasi said children as young as 15 were carrying guns.
