More controversy could be coming Caster Semenya’s way after she blew away the continent’s middle-distance runners at the African Championships.
The 25-year-old won three golds – in the 400m, 800m and 1500m.
Following the IAAF having to end their restrictions on women competitors with high testosterone levels, Caster is back to her best.
However, renowned South African sports science guru Ross Tucker says Caster winning in the Olympics will change the game.
He writes on his website: “I cannot acknowledge the women’s 800m as a credible event.
“But I hope that Semenya (and a few others) go out and run 1:52, and I wish she would run and win the 400m too.”
