The suspects allegedly robbed a chain store and sped away to the northern suburbs in their VW Polo.

Two alleged robbers were nabbed after a car chase through the streets of Kraaifontein.

The suspects allegedly robbed a chain store in Mitchells Plain and sped away to the northern suburbs in their VW Polo, believed to be a hired car from Gauteng.

Cops were soon hot on their trail and the suspects crashed into a another vehicle in Lucullus Street in Joostenbergvlakte.

A man and woman in the car the suspects collided with were taken to hospital.

Cop sources say the suspects had robbed a Clicks store in Mitchells Plain: “Police received a tip-off and caught up with the suspects on the R300 where they played tag with the cops.

“They first wanted to turn off at Okavango Road at Cape Gate Mall, but then took the N1 highway to Joostenberg.

“At Joostenbergvlakte, they lost control of their car and crashed headlong into a Merc that came driving over the N1 bridge.

“Police were on the scene within seconds and arrested them.”
