Cops have busted a woman with a kilogram of tik worth more than R200 000 at the Cape Town International Airport.
Police spokesman Captain FC Van Wyk says members attached to the airport conducted stop and search duties at international departures, when they spotted the suspicious-looking woman.
“A 44-year-old female South African passenger was found with three compressed packets wrapped in brown plastic tape attached to her person underneath her clothing. The contents is suspected to be tik.
“The estimated weight of the drugs is 1kg with a street value of approximately R225 000.”
Van Wyk added that the suspect was arrested and is expected to appear in court soon once she has been charged.
