In exactly seven days, the Premier League transfer window will closed and clubs will no longer be allowed to add to their team roster.
So which clubs are still actively looking for new players?
Here we take a look at some of the biggest transfer stories of the day:
José Mourinho is already throwing his weight around at Manchester United and is apparently locked in a stand-off with the club’s board over the transfer involving José Fonte.
Mourinho wants the Southampton defender, 32, but has been told that he must first get rid of some big earners at the club.
Bastian Schweinsteiger might be one of the victims, as it is rumoured that United might sell him for only £2m.
Meanwhile, striker Wayne Rooney is wanted by MLS champions Portland Timbers.
Just a day after Arsene Wenger admitted that he has hopes that a deal for defender Shkodran Mustafi will be done, Valencia boss Pako Ayestaran says the player is not for sale.
Turning their attention to West Bromwich Albion’s Jonny Evans, Wenger was hit with further bad news as the club’s minimum valuation of the 28-year-old defender was set at £25million.
The Gunners are now turning their attention to Monaco defender Marcel Tisserand.
Liverpool are considering letting Mamadou Sakho leave Anfield on loan as the France defender looks to regain his fitness.
Sakho has been out of action after damaging his Achilles tendon in the opening days of pre- season, but he returned to training at the club’s Melwood base on Monday.
Striker Mario Balotelli, meanwhile, is also in line to leave, with Italian clubs Lazio, Bologna and Chievo all interested in signing the bad boy.
Claudio Bravo apparently arrived in Manchester for his medical at City yesterday and it’s now only a matter of time before his move from Barcelona becomes official.
And it will set a hele se klomp ander bewegings aanmekaar.
Barcelona are trying to buy Ajax’s Jasper Cillessen, while City incumbent Joe Harts’ future is uncertain.
Everton have apparently cooled their interest in the England keeper, not willing to spend £7m on loaning him for the season.
