Manchester City are about to spend £100m – but that will be for six players and not just one.
Pep Guardiola is closing in on a triple scoop that will send his spending over the window reach the “Paul Pogba mark” neighbours Manchester United are reportedly set to pay.
City are nearing deals for Schalke’s Germany winger Leroy Sane and attacking youngsters Gabriel Jesus and Marlos Moreno.
Pep has already bought Ilkay Gundogan (£21m), Nolito (£13.8m) and Oleksandr Zinchenko (£1.7m), putting the total at £36.5m.
Schalke are demanding £41.8m for 20-year-old Sane, with City valuing the 20-year-old at around £5m less.
If the deals does go through, that will take City’s outlay to £75.8m and if they land Olympics-bound Palmeiras and Brazil striker Jesus for £17m and Atletico Nacional forward Moreno for £8m, they would break the £100m barrier.
