There was kwaai musical variety on stage, from jazz to RnB, rap and even Afrikaanse treffers.
Selwyn McKeet from Westridge in Mitchells Plain was there with all his close friends and he wanted everyone to know why this jol was so important.
Pointing to the picture on his T-shirt, he says: “We’re here in memory of Sharon Malan, who passed away this year.”
Candice Marais and her hubby Leheino from Vredenburg said even though it was a long drive, they were determined to show their support.
“We came all the way from Vredenburg because our friends invited us and we wanted to show our support,” she tells the Daily Voice.
The party is not the end of the fundraising drive though, and mense were encouraged to show their support and make donations to CHOC. Contact details can be found on their Facebook page.
