Party for charity

The variety show will be hosted by popular Flats singer Monox.

Help improve facilities at Mitchells Plain park.

It’s the weekend and it’s time to have a jol.

And you can party with a purpose on Saturday in Mitchells Plain and help raise funds for the improving Portlands Park and Community Facilities initiative.

Under the banner of “Change is Possible” singer Monox (Moenier Adams) is hosting a variety show at the Glendale High School (Weltevereden Rd, Mitchells Plain) at 8pm on Saturday.

He will be joined by Ashley Pienaar, A2, Gakeem, Magmoed Ganief, Family Affair and many more.

Monox is known for his smooth vocals and slick dance moves, especially when it comes to impersonating Michael Jackson and doing the moonwalk.

This is a great charity event and the artists, some of whom like Monox are from Mitchells Plain, are committed to using their talents to help improve their community.

The party is the end result of what started on Human Rights Day when Monox decided to start cleaning the veld in Portlands at the back of Montague Drive Primary. He got his hands dirty and picked up the rubbish and put up soccer poles.

Tickets for this show are R70 each and available at the door or call 084 5188 185 or 060 975 7466.

And there is a bonus in store for you if you bring your family or brasse along.

If you buy four or more tickets, you’ll get the Monox Live 2016 DVD as a free gift.
