Crisis? What crisis?
Thanks guys, you know I deserve it. And for those of you who made the effort to mail me regarding a massacre at Wembley by Spurs, a double wela ka pela, haha, sometimes you gotta just listen to me.
We aren’t champions of England for nothing.
Despite a depleted squad and a strong performance from Spurs, the boys showed real grit and character to come away with the result.
On the back of the Burnley loss, it was exactly what the Blues needed
With a couple of signings on the way before the window shuts, the return of Eden Hazard, Cesc Fabregas and Gary Cahill and the final offloading of Diego Costa, it’s pretty much looking like back to business.
It’s a very different story at Manchester United.
They’ve gone off like a firecracker, despite a first 45 against Swansea that was about as classy as a slice of French polony.
I’m still fighting the Romelu Lukaku debate.
I maintain my stance and that is: he’s not a great footballer, despite scoring regularly (and yes, hands up, that’s his job) he looked awful against Swansea, as was Nemanja Matic.
It’ll be interesting to see how Mourinho sets his side out against stiffer opposition.
Will they continue banging in four goals a week?
They do look good, though. Better than they’ve been for years, but I’m certainly not jumping on the title winning bandwagon.
Remember Liverpool early last season?
Jurgen Klopp pushing his side for ultimate attacking, intense football?
It doesn’t last despite an ever-increasing quality squad, I won’t be surprised if it falls away after the ridiculously easy run of games the Premier League computer has spat out for them. But hey, don’t let me burst your bubble.
I was watching at a bar on Saturday and when the league table was up on the screens, this sad full-kit wanker took a picture, I know it means a lot.
I’m not sure if it was the tragic reality of how the great have fallen, or whether a sponsored tracksuit, team shirt, scarf and cap-clad fan made me feel like I was at a Willy Wonka fancy dress party, but either way it was abstract and depressing.
The same fella spent a few minutes reeling off United history to me, not realising that all I saw was a face with a talking anus, as my mind wandered into issues of importance, like how much cauliflowers were selling for per kilo at Checkers.
Talking about vegetables, wasn’t it amazing to see Arsenal lose at Stoke?
Not so much for the team or Mr Wenger, but more like the legions of spoilt, angry fans who were fighting with each other again inside and outside the ground.
More of the same coming, I guess, banners and protests and the brilliant Arsenal Fan TV!
Stoke’s local police even tweeted a dig at “missing” Mesut Ozil. Has to be said, only two weeks in and it’s as good as it’s always been!
