Trevor Noah has changed the cover of his upcoming book especially for SA fans.
The comedian’s book is called Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood and will be officially released in just under a month.
On the local version of the book, the cover artwork of Trevor is totally different because he doesn’t want mense to think he’s forgotten his roots now that he’s a big TV star in America, hosting The Daily Show on Comedy Central.
The book is already available online for pre-ordering at R392, and details Trevor’s childhood growing up poor under the hated apartheid regime.
But there are also a few surprises.
According to the publishers, mense can also read about Trevor’s “time in jail, facing gangsters and trying to find teenage romance”.
But it’s not all heavy — the book apparently has the comedian’s trademark brand of humour.
“The experiences covered in this book will shock and amaze, even as they leave you rolling on the floor with laughter,” reads a statement.
According to Hollywood Reporter, Noah’s book deal is believed to be $3 million.
That’s one Christmas gift less to worry about.
