The woman, who may not be identified, was testifying in the Western Cape High Court yesterday against murder accused Cameron ‘Wong’ Wilson.
The woman described how Wilson, 20, went from being a “charmer to a monster”.
Wilson is being tried on 15 charges, including six charges of murder, three charges of rape, attempted murder and assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm.
He is accused of killing teenagers Lekita Moore, 18, in October last year, and Stacey Lee Mohale, 16, in April 2015.
The witness claims Wilson robbed her on the night of April 23, 2015 in Goedehoop Street in Heinz Park.
“He came up behind me and took the hair dye I had in my hand,” the court heard.
She went to ask for help at a nearby house, but when people heard the name ‘Wong’, they no longer wanted to be involved.
“When I said who it was, help was no longer offered.”
On her way back to her friend she saw Wilson and a youngster.
“This time Wong was trying to charm me, asking me my name, where I live and if I had a boyfriend.
“I didn’t want to talk to him and kept going. That’s when he changed into a monster and told his friend to stab me. His friend wouldn’t stab me, and when he hit his friend (for refusing), that’s when I ran,” she said.
Forensic analyst Melanie Molifie, who examined the knife found at the murder scene of Lekita, told the court no fingerprints could be found on the knife.
The trial continues.
