The stolen Honda Ballade was recovered after a chase in Mitchells Plain on Tuesday.
Gino and Jade Arendse, who’s son Tyrell, seven, passed away last month from Batten’s, a rare brain disease, says their car was spotted in Lotus River.
“Daily Voice readers informed us and we informed the Maitland Flying Squad that the car is being chopped up at a place in Lotus River.
“The car was missing the bonnet, lights and bumper,” Gino adds sadly.
“We are very sad to lose our vehicle. We can’t afford a new car. All this comes after we buried our child three weeks ago, our hearts are broken.”
