A spate of shootings on the Cape Flats have left one dead and at least seven injured over the weekend.
In Bishop Lavis three people survived a deadly hit just after midnight on Saturday.
Police say two friends sitting in a car outside a house in Swan Road were shot at from a white Quantum taxi.
Witnesses say they saw a hand with a gun poking through the taxi window.
A 24-year-old man was wounded on the left side of his head and the same bullet hit his 18-year-old male friend in the eye. The victims were rushed to hospital.
But the shooting did not stop there.
Residents say while they were on the scene, a grey car believed to be a Toyota Corolla, drove past and people inside fired shots into the crowd, injuring an elderly woman.
The 65-year-old woman was hit three times in the back and rushed to hospital.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana, says three cases of attempted murder are being investigated.
“Three victims – two men... and a 65-year-old female – were shot and wounded by unidentified suspects who are yet to be arrested. Circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation,” Rwexana said.
In separate incidents, on Saturday, a 35-year-old man was gunned down in Geelhout Street, Bonteheuwel, while three others were shot and injured yesterday.
