Wilson’s lengthy murder trial will finally come to an end, after Judge Chantal Fortuin said she would not allow any more postponements.
On Tuesday, the State and defence counsel made their closing arguments for mitigation and aggravation of sentencing.
In June, Wilson, 20, from Heinz Park, was convicted of 13 of his 15 charges.
He was found guilty on five counts of murder, four counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault and rape, one count of the possession of an illegal firearm and one count of the possession of illegal ammunition.
On Tuesday, his lawyer, Advocate Mohamed Sibda, asked the court to take into account Wilson’s youth, his socio-economic background, the negative impact of his father, an alleged gangster, as well as the fact that he did not have a previous criminal record.
Wilson killed 18-year-old Lekita Moore of Valhalla Park in September last year while he was out on bail for the rape and murder of 16-year-old Stacey Lee Mohale.

His father, Abraham Wilson, 36, was arrested on a charge of triple murder in May.
Sibda said Wilson had a young child and was committed to being a good dad.
He also blamed teachers for failing to ensure Wilson remained in school, and police for failing to arrest him “timeously”.
Also to be taken into account was “the fact he has spent time in jail, and the absence of evidence of premeditation in all murder cases except that of Toyher Stober, shot and killed in 2014.
However, State prosecutor Carine Teunissen argued there was definitely some form of premeditation during Wilson’s three-year killing spree.
“The accused has throughout the trial showed no empathy for any of his victims. Even on the stand one could see he had a short fuse,” said Teunissen.

“He needs to be classified as a dangerous criminal. It is my submission that yes he is young, but no one is unaffected by these incidents. Everyone is going through trauma.
“In this Women’s Month, one can see most of the victims in this matter are female. The accused has no respect for women.
“The intention to seriously hurt the women, the nature of their wounds, are all on significant danger areas on the body.
“He was also equipped with a weapon, be it a knife, and that shows premeditation. Premeditation is not always something planned long before but could be planned minutes before,” Teunissen told the court.
Sentencing will be handed down on Thursday.
