“Myself and the volunteers involved try to bring back a sense of positivity of the children and keep them off the streets. We assist them with homework and help tutor wherever they may find difficulty.”
They also host events where youngsters can express themselves.
“We are giving children positive things to do. We regularly host events such as sport days, music events and entertainment. Funding has been a bit of a struggle over the past months as the organisation is not registered yet, but I am in the process of having Kids Are Kids registered.
“Most times I take money out of my pocket, my mother also helps me a lot. There were times when we received donations from people.

“We then make food and go all over Ocean View and feed the youngsters. I have formed such a good relationship with many of them and most of them come to me any time or just when they need someone to confide in,” he says.
Michaela Williams, 15, says she got involved with Kids Are Kids to help make a difference.
“Most of our children go to bed hungry and don’t get the love and support they need. That’s why we are here, to love and care for them,” Michaela says
