Police were called to Ernest Curry Street in Grassy Park yesterday morning where the body of Rushdien Barnes, a suspected member of the Fancy Boys gang, was found lying in front of his home.
Barnes’ children, aged seven and five years old, were sitting on the backseat of his white Toyota Conquest with their mother, Gabiebah Khan when they shot him.
Cops say occupants in an Opel Astra, skollies who apparently belonged to the Six Bob gang, fired several shots at Barnes’ car.
The father was shot in the head and Gabiebah was also wounded.
The children were not harmed.
Barnes was declared dead at the scene.
When the Daily Voice visited the scene, family members refused to speak, saying they were too traumatised.
It is believed Barnes was about to take Gabiebah to work and take his children to school when he was killed.
Police say the killers are still at large.
