Plaatjies, 50, is accused of murdering Lavender Hill teen, 13-year-old Rene-Tracy Roman.
He allegedly confessed to killing the young girl after her body was found in a Wendy house in his backyard in St. Agatha Crescent, just meters from her own house.
On Friday, Plaatjies appeared in the Wynberg Magistrates’ Court via video link-up from Pollsmoor prison.
The case was postponed again due to a delay in obtaining DNA evidence.
At a previous appearance in April, the 50-year-old accused abandoned his bail application.
The case against Plaatjies has been postponed to 28 July.
The Daily Voice tried contacting Rene’s family, but to no avail.
The meisie vanished without a trace on 10 March, when she went to a nearby shop. Her body was found 11 days later, on Human Rights Day, by a man hired by Plaatjies’ girlfriend to clean her yard after she noticed a foul smell.
The man told cops he found the girl’s body hidden under a mat in the Wendy house.
