Jacob Zuma can’t do a thing right, it seems.
The president has now even come under attack for kissing his own “daughter”.
This after pictures of Zuma kissing a young woman went viral on social networks this week.
The images were first published on Tuesday on the Facebook account of a 19-year-old girl named Lindokuhle Dlamini.
The pic was captioned: “He is not just a blesser, we are in love and I am grateful for all that he has done for me, much love. Xo xo.”
Floyd Shivambu from the EFF was not impressed by the image and dismissed the explanation that it might be Zuma’s daughter or granddaughter.
@FloydShivambu tweeted: “Okay cool? What kind of Grand Fathers and Fathers kiss their Grand Daughters & Daughters like this? Perverts??”
The Presidency has said it would investigate the matter.
But the Zuma family yesterday came out saying while the pictures were real, they were not what they appeared to be.
Son Edward Zuma told News24 the young woman was his “sister”, even though they were not related by blood.
“That is my sister. What is wrong with my father kissing his daughter? There is nothing wrong with that photograph,” he said.
“She can post pictures of her father, just like everybody else.”
The Facebook account of Lindokuhle Dlamini has been shut down.
The girl in the photos, who is 17, has also spoken up.
Yesterday the teen took to social media to clear the air and claimed some “dumb-ass guy” in Qwaqwa had stolen her pictures and made up the post.
“Who’s Lindokuhle Dlamini? I’m not even willing to know him... He doesn’t even know what he’s talking about,” she said on Facebook.
In January this year, the teen declared her love for Zuma, also on Facebook.
She wrote: “I’m so glad that I got to meet the person that most people look up to... I know that minority doesn’t like him but he has taken me as his daughter.
“I thank you for all the love you have given me throughout the years, I love you baba Msholozi you are the man of your words and I appreciate you :) I have found a second dad in you :) [sic]”
