Convicted murderer Oscar Pistorius is expected to appear at the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria today for a postponement of sentencing hearing.
The disgraced Paralympic star is currently out on bail.
He was found guilty of murder after he shot and killed his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp three years ago on Valentine’s Day.
He was originally found guilty of culpable homicide in 2014, but after an appeal by the prosecution, the conviction was overturned and Pistorius was found guilty of murder last December.
His bid to appeal the murder conviction was denied by the Constitutional Court last month.
The athlete now faces a minimum of 15 years behind bars.
During the hearing today, which is expected to last between 30 minutes and an hour, the sentencing proceedings of the Blade Runner will be formally postponed to June 13, the office of the chief justice announced.
Pistorius will appear in court before his trial judge, Thokozile Masipa, alongside his legal team led by Advocate Barry Roux SC.
The proceedings will be televised.
