Woman, 61, bust with R10k's worth of drugs.

Today an elderly woman is expected to appear in court after heroin valued at R10 000 was found at her house.

This was after Mitchells Plain police executed a search warrant at the 61-year-old’s house in Beacon Valley on Saturday evening.

Police spokesperson, Constable Noloyiso Rwexana says officers were doing crime prevention duties in the area.

“The members executed a search warrant at a house in Korfball Street and upon searching the house they found 60g of heroin in the bathroom, worth an estimated street value of R10 000,” she says.

“A 61-year-old woman was arrested. The suspect faces a charge of possession of drugs and will appear in the Mitchells Plain Magistrates’ Court today.”
