Monwabisi Mbobo made a brief appearance at the Khayelitsha Magistrates’ Court yesterday where his case was postponed.
The 23-year-old magician is facing a murder charge after he led police to a shallow grave in Makhaza where he allegedly buried the body of 21-year-old Anelisa.
She disappeared on January 30, while at a tavern in Town Two where she was celebrating her 21st birthday party and was last seen with the accused.
Her decaying body was dug out from under the foundation of a house next door to the accused two months after she disappeared.
Yesterday, a calm looking Mbobo told the court he will no longer be applying for bail.
Prosecutors told the court investigations were yet to be completed as they were waiting for the results of the postmortem and other statements. The case was postponed to July 22.
