Former President Nelson Mandela’s grandson was one of five people who were shot at by riot police following a violent protest in Qunu.
Protest actions started a few days ago over the appointment of an ANC ward councillor for the area.
Ndaba Mandela told the Daily Dispatch he was hit thrice by rubber bullets on Monday.
“I was just standing next to the road, busy taking pictures, when police fired rubber bullets‚” he said.
“All these people want is to be addressed by the ANC leadership.”
