The family of a missing Mitchells Plain mother has appealed to mense to help raise money for a reward to help find her.
So far the relatives of Raymonde Boltman, 23, have managed to raise R4 500 between them.
They are hoping to increase this amount to R40 000 with the help of the community, to put up as a reward that will help them unravel the mystery of her disappearance six weeks ago.
Raymonde, mom to a six-month-old baby girl named Rhania, vanished without a trace on the morning of April 20 while waiting for her 5.05am Elsies River bus at the Clocktower bus stop in Lentegeur.
She was last seen by her mother Lillian, who had dropped her off there.
It’s believed she never boarded the bus. The alarm was sounded when she failed to arrive for work that day.
Raymonde’s sister Rodelphia Boltman, 30, believes foul play is involved.
“She works at a plastic factory in Elsies River and she never took the bus, which is not like her,” she says.
“She’s a dedicated mother and on that day she didn’t phone her daughter like she usually does and both her cellphone and tablet was off after she went missing.”
The family has set up the Raymonde Fund, and Rodelphia hopes a reward will lead to answers.
“There must be someone who knows something. My sister isn’t using drugs and is a good mother which is why we want to know what happened to her.”
Anyone who can assist the family is asked to contact Genevieve on 074 954 6088 or Rodelphia on 060 427 7885.
