Two friends have been killed inside the Wendy house in which they were sleeping.

It is believed the gunmen kicked open the door to the wooden structure on Monday just after 5.30am while Luigi Bissolati, 22, and his friend, Theodore Right, 32, were sleeping in Hartenberg Street, Voorbrug, Delft.

It is believed the gunmen jumped over the wall, broke down a door and stormed inside, opening fire on the two.

Theodore, who was married with two children, was shot three times, and Luigi once in the back.

Luigi’s heartbroken mother Hajir Petersen tells the Daily Voice her son gave her a final Mother’s Day gift before he died.

“He gave me a Mother’s Day present and I gave him a plate of food to eat,” she says.

“He also gave me a R20. When they said he and his friend were shot and that his shoes were removed, I didn’t want to believe it. He sleeps with his shoes on. I wanted to see his face.”

It is believed the two were not members of a gang.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel André Traut says cops are investigating the motive.

“The circumstances surrounding a double murder are being investigated by Delft police after the bodies of two males, aged 22 and 32, were discovered in a Wendy house in Hartenburg Street, Voorburg, Delft on Monday at 5.30am,” he says.

“Both sustained gunshot wounds.

“The motive is yet to be determined and no one has been arrested as yet.”
