The naked body of a man has been found in a shallow grave in Brackenfell.
It is believed the body, found in a bush close to the Everite Hostel in Kuisfontein Street, on Tuesday afternoon, is that of a man who went missing in Scottsdene on Sunday.
A shocked woman at the scene identified the body as that of her son Johan Assa, 33, who has been missing for two days.
She says a girl who walked through the bush saw part of a man’s head and toes peep out of the grave.
“She came to tell us that a man has been found in the bush. My son Johan disappeared from our house in Scottsdene on Sunday. He was wearing black clothes.
“Johan was a good boy, I can’t believe someone would kill him like this.”
Constable Noloyiso Rwexana said a murder case is under investigation.
“No one has been arrested at this stage. Anyone with information that can assist with the investigation is requested to contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111.”
