The Economic Freedom Fighters het niks tyd saamgebring vir Jacob Zuma nie.
The party rudely “interrupted” the president at the Vodacom Durban July races on Saturday.
Just as the prez was introduced on stage, an aeroplane with a red EFF banner in tow flew over the racecourse.
The young opposition party joked on Twitter that parliamentary speaker Baleka Mbete was not on hand to help the president this time.
Cameras captured President Zuma appearing on the big screen with the giant EFF flag above him in the sky.
EFF spokesman Mbuyiseni Ndlozi tweeted: “When Zuma thought he could be the main man at #DurbanJuly, we still interrupted him & Mbete was not there to help!”
This was in a reference to the many times EFF had been thrown out of the National Assembly when interrupting the president’s speeches.
The EFF have declared that they do not consider Zuma a legitimate president, and said they would not let him speak until he had “paid back the money” for Nkandla.
The EFF had hired a plane to fly the banner around Durban’s skies ahead of the August 3 municipal elections.
@EFFSouth Africa tweeted: “there are no point of orders on the sky, EFF flag flies over the #DurbanJuly right when Zuma is introduced #Asijiki”
