Police were called to Froetang Street, in Roosendal, Delft just after 1am yesterday where the bodies of Porche Frans and her boyfriend, Randall Pick, in his 20s, were discovered.
When the Daily Voice arrived at the scene, community members were clearing bloody sand.
The couple had been dating for a few months.
Porche, who was one of four children, had left her Voorbrug home with Randall on Sunday evening - and during the early hours of yesterday morning, her family was notified of her tragic death.
Porche’s brother, Travetin Frans, 30, says his sister was shot twice, once in the head and once in the back, apparently as she tried to flee from her attacker.
“We don’t know what happened,” says Travetin. “Two people came to our home and said that she had been shot.”
Tenant and family friend, Nazley Cupido, 55, says Porche had been excited to train as a drug counsellor.
“The training was for two weeks and it is a City of Cape Town initiative. After the training the counsellors are sent door to door. We do not know why they were shot.”
Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana says no arrests have been made.
“A murder case has been opened for investigation.”
