Traffic officers have arrested a motorist after learning he was drunk during a crash that killed one person in Cape Town.
The incident took place early yesterday morning on the N1 highway.
Jacques Mostert of Western Cape Traffic services says: “The accident occurred early this morning on the N1 near Brackenfell when two light motor vehicles collided. One driver died on the scene and the other was arrested for drunk driving.”
This brings to 20 the number of motorists arrested across the province this weekend for driving under the influence.
