While former president Thabo Mbeki and Nelson Mandela’s widow, Graca Machel, have both indicated that they will not be available for the job, Western Cape High Court judge Siraj Desai confirmed he has accepted a nomination.
After seven years at the helm, Madonsela’s term comes to an end in October.
