Nkohla gained notoriety for dumping buckets of poo in public spaces to protest conditions in Cape Town’s informal settlements, and then last year “joined” the DA.
The DA's Federal Executive said his membership had been withdrawn because there was an outstanding case of public violence against him for his protest.
The Ses’Khona member had been convinced to join the DA by Mayor Patricia de Lille despite reservations from DA councillors and provincial leaders, including Premier Helen Zille who herself was a victim of the poo thrower.
Following municipal elections in August last year, the then DA provincial leader, Patricia de Lille, said the poo fighter and former ANC councillor helped her party clinch the Cape.
“He was saying it is not about politics, he has helped us get access to people we would not have access to,” De Lille said.
Loyiso left the ANC to join the DA in June, saying the ruling party had failed to deliver on its promises.
He was awarded a cushy job as executive support officer to the former mayoral committee member for utility services, Ernest Sonnenberg.
His appointment came with a R700 000 annual salary.
