Closing arguments were finalised in the Western Cape High Court yesterday and Judge Chantal Fortuin said she would need a week to go through all the evidence and reach a verdict.
Wilson, 20, from Heinz Park is being tried for 15 charges including six counts of murder, rape, attempted murder and assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm.
Yesterday, Wilson’s lawyer, Advocate Mohamed Sibda, argued that his client should be acquitted on all the charges against him as there were “too many holes” in the state’s case.
He made specific reference to a rape charge, and the rape and murder of Valhalla Park teen Lekita Moore, 18.
Wilson claims his friend Xavier Bester killed Lekita.
Bester was found dead hours after Lekita’s body was discovered, on the same field in Tuna Street.
Wilson said in his admissions that he had consensual sex with one of his alleged rape victims in 2015 and Sibda says this could be “reasonably possibly true”.

He says Wilson’s version corroborates two important factors from the woman’s testimony.
“Cameron says they went to the fence looking for her friend and they went to the bridge area where he lived," said Sibda.
“She concedes she was looking for her friend, thus his version does not just hang in the air.
“It is my submission that she is being untruthful when she materially altered her evidence to say that at the moment she was forced there were suddenly no people in the vicinity.
“The fact that she never testified that she struggled against him is evidence that she had gone with him voluntarily. She also stated she did not scream or call for help.
“His version on facts is more probable than hers and his version of events is reasonably possibly true. Her version is false and must be rejected."
Judge Fortuin then asked: “So what are you saying Mr Sibda? That whenever someone is sexually assaulted, they scream out? Are you saying we must deduct there was consent?”
Sibda said there were “holes” in evidence presented to the court.
Regarding Lekita’s murder, he stated: “Had (Wilson) been involved in the stabbing of Lekita there ought to have been much more blood on his clothing and not just his jacket.
“His fingerprints were not found on the knife. Blood was found in Lekita’s nasal cavity, corroborating Cameron’s version that Xavier had hit her on her nose and it bled.
“In light of this, it is my submission that Cameron’s version is reasonably possibly true,” Sibda stated.
Sibda then asked the court to acquit his client on all charges brought against him.
The trial resumes June 28.
