A man was arrested at a house in Harare, Khayelitsha, for allegedly being in possession of bags of dagga, Western Cape police said on Saturday.
“Our endeavours to root out the drug trade in this province led to the arrest of a suspect earlier today [Saturday] who was caught in possession of a large quantity of dagga with an estimated street value to the tune of R40 000,” Lieutenant -Colonel Andrè Traut said.
Information provided led police to an address in Harare where the 31-year-old man was arrested.
He is due to appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrates’ Court today on a charge of dealing in drugs, Traut said.
