An eight-year-old boy is fighting for his life in hospital after he was shot in the stomach by a gangster who claimed the boy “had been spying” on him.
Little Brendan Killa’s sister Crystal Vosloo, 26, says her brother had been shot by an Americans gangster around 2.20pm yesterday in Hydrangea Street, Kalksteenfontein.
She, Brendan and several relatives were outside when the skollie started shooting.
“He shouted that my brother was spying on him,” she says.
They all ran for cover, not realising Brendan had been shot.
“He ran next door [to family] and when we saw him, the fat was just hanging out [from his tummy] and he just wanted to fall asleep,” adds Crystal.
Brendan was rushed to Tygerberg Hospital where he is currently receiving medical treatment.
The Grade 2 boy is the youngest of eight children.
His dad Peter Killa, 51, says: “I do not believe he was targeting my child, I think he was targeting any child.”
Police spokesperson, Captain FC van Wyk says cops have made no arrests yet.
