The barber was gunned down inside his shop on Friday afternoon, during an apparent armed robbery.
Residents stood in shock as the man’s body lay at the entrance of the white container, soaked in his own blood.
The 30-year-old Congolese national, only known as Godfrey, was busy closing his shop for the day just after 4pm in Main Road when armed men stormed him.
Witnesses say the unknown suspects tried to rob the man and then shot him. It is not clear whether any valuables were taken from him or the shop.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Andre Traut, confirmed the incident and says no one has been arrested yet.

“On Friday at around 4.30pm, a 30-year-old male was shot and killed in Delft Main Road by unknown suspects during an apparent armed robbery.
“The circumstances are being investigated and no one has been arrested as yet,” Traut said.
The secretary of the Delft Community Policing Forum (CPF), Farida Ryklief, says this is the third barber to be killed in the area.
“The Delft Community Policing Forum condemns the senseless killings of foreigners within the area. This is the third murder of a barber shop owner in Delft Main Road.
“The last killing was two months ago. We therefore encourage the community to bring forth the murderers in this incident as the South African Police Service (SAPS) are searching for them,” she said.
Farida adds that the murders have sparked fear among foreign nationals in Delft.

“This has created fear for the other shop owners in the area. On Friday a meeting was held by shop owners at the crime scene, they raised their concerns of safety. They do not wish to leave the area as they have businesses in the vicinity,” she said.
“My fear is their reaction to future threats. It would affect our area negatively given their cheap and affordable prices and their contribution to unemployed home owners they rent their premises from.”
In January, Ugandan barber shop owner, Waleed Mohamed, 32, was shot and killed by three armed robbers in Main Road. The incident happened 100m from the Delft Police Station.
Mohamed was shot after he refused to give in to the robbers’ demands and a scuffle ensued, resulting in his death.
Daily Voice could not confirm the murder of the third barber owner in Main Road.
