Germany defender Shkodran Mustafi says joining Arsenal was an easy decision to make.
Mustafi’s switch to the Emirates will be confirmed before tomorrow’s transfer deadline, along with Deportivo la Coruna forward Lucas Perez.
The defender, who is moving to the club from Valencia, played with Ozil and Per Mertesacker for the national team.
And ahead of his £35m move, he says his world champion teammates have sold him on the Gunners’ fluid style of football.
The 24-year-old tells SkySports: “I did not see Per for a long time because he quit international football but I talked to Mesut.
“He told me everything I wanted to know. Everything was positive, so I was convinced very fast. It did not take much.
“I have always loved Arsenal, I like how they play here, it is not typical English.
“The game here is more like in Spain and with the German national team, keeping the ball on the grass, so it was easy to convince me.”
