Opposite sex try to be friends.

Is it possible for a man and a woman to be platonic friends? That’s a question that regularly comes up. Some swear that it is possible while others refute it.

Well, in the romcom Sleeping with Other People, two long-time tjommies who just so happen to have lost their virginities to each other while in college, try this platonic friendship thing.

The pair go their separate ways but reunite unexpectedly years later at a 12-step meeting, with each of them nursing a different kind of sexual addiction: the unfaithful Jake (Jason Sudeikis) to an endless parade of women and the obsessed Lainey to one unavailable guy.

At the beginning, it seems the two can be just friends, with Lainey (Alison Brie) even dismissing the idea that men and women can’t be friends.

But, can the two really carry on as friends and not let their past come in the way of their friendship?

Rent the movie to find out.
