A resident says this was the second attack on the victim in two days.

A 21-year-old man was shot and killed while walking home on Vera Road in Scotsdene yesterday.

It’s believed Kelvin “Elvis” Stuurman was gunned down because he was in a rival gang’s territory.

A resident says this was the second attack on Stuurman in two days.

“I still spoke to him on Monday to change his life. He was riding his bike when his enemies heard he was in the area and they shot him. Miraculously, none of the bullets hit him then,” said the witness.

But he wasn’t so lucky yesterday, when he was fatally shot in the head between 6am and 7am.

Friends of the deceased at the scene say he turned 21 a month ago.

“We know that he was deurmekaar with gangsters,” one confirmed.

Police say circumstances surrounding the murder are being investigated.

They say a murder case was opened for investigation. At this stage it cannot be confirmed whether it is a gang-related incident.”
