A man was shot dead during an alleged gang-related shooting.

The 40-year-old man was shot and killed in Parkdene Street, Ravensmead, on Tuesday night.

It is unclear what the motive for the attack was.

An eyewitness tells the Daily Voice the victim’s body was “covered” in gangster tattoos.

Captain Frederick van Wyk says no one has been arrested.

“At about 7pm, Ravensmead police members attended to a shooting incident at Beverley Court, Parkdene Street, Ravensmead,” Van Wyk tells the Daily Voice.

“On arrival the 40-year-old victim was found fatally wounded. The victim was certified on the scene. Circumstances relating to the incident are unknown. A murder case was opened for investigation,” he says.
